WHO ARE WE?

A BIBLE LOVING COMMUNITY FOR ALL STUDENTS AT CSUEB

We’re a student club at CSUEB that loves God and His Word, the Bible. We are a Jesus-loving community that read His word.

The Bible is a book of life, and this life is a living person, the wonderful and all-inclusive Christ.

The mission of the Bible Club at CSUEB is to help all students to both understand and be nourished with God’s word.

The purpose of the Bible Club at CSUEB is to help students at California State University East Bay to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18a) through daily prayer, Bible reading, and fellowship.

This is being accomplished through the following:

  • Weekly Bible studies on campus
  • One-on-one appointments for personal study sessions tailored to your needs
  • Weekly fellowship meetings off campus
  • Retreats

BASIC BELIEFS

We believe that:

  • The Bible is the complete divine revelation inspired word-by-word by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:16).
  • God is uniquely one, yet triune—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit (1 Timothy 2:5a; Matthew 28:19).
  • The Son of God, even God Himself, was incarnated to be a man by the name of Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14).
  • Christ died on the cross for our sins, shedding His blood for our redemption (1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7a).
  • Christ resurrected from among the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:4).
  • Christ ascended to the right hand of God to be Lord of all (Acts 1:9, 2:33, 36).
  • Whenever any person repents to God and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, he is regenerated (born again) and becomes a living member of the Body of Christ (Acts 20:21; John 3:3; Ephesians 1:22-23; Romans 12:5).
  • Christ is coming again to receive His believers to Himself (1 Thessalonians 2:19).

Jesus Christ is now the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45), and is available everywhere for anyone to receive. If you turn to Him and believe in Him, He will save you, and He will come into you and fill your inner emptiness with Himself. He will be your joy, light, strength, comfort, love, peace, rest, and so much more.  Will you let Him in? Just turn to Him and open your heart to receive Him by praying this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I need You. Thank You for dying for me. Lord Jesus, forgive me. Cleanse me from all my sins. I believe You rose from the dead. I receive You right now as my Savior and life. Come into me! Fill me with Your life! Lord Jesus, I give myself to You for Your purpose. Amen. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!”

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all and rich to all who call upon Him;

For “whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:12-13
